Antelope Hills Golf Course

AHMGC members play on both the North and South courses at Antelope Hills on a rotating basis. We play from the Blue Tees for all events, except when we play “Forward Tees”. The North course has a rating of 69.9 and a slope of difficulty of 123. It is the more difficult of Antelope Hills two courses. The South Course has a rating of 68.1 and a slope of 111. The average difficulty slope of USGA courses is 113. Members who wish may play the courses all year depending on how they handle the various weather conditions. We have some of the best greens in the State, and the courses for being Municipals are at the top of Muni’s in Arizona.

Special Event Tournament

Each month, the AHMGC has a Special Event Tournament that is held at various courses throughout the state.  During the winter months we generally play at courses in the northern Phoenix valley area and during the summer months in Northern Arizona.  At each Special Event Tournament, payouts are given in each flight to the low gross and second low gross winners, low net and 2nd, 3rd and 4th low net winners, with opportunities to win extra cash for Closest to the Pin on par 3’s and skins play.  All low gross and low net winners in each flight qualify for our annual Tournament of Champions.  We also have a Club Championship Tournament and an opportunity to qualify for the AGA Club Team Championships.

Social Events

Holiday Party

Our “Holiday Party” takes place the first part of December. It is held at the “Centennial Center”. The festivities include a sit down dinner featuring your chose of steak or fish. There is a live entertainment portion of the evening prior to dinner. A silent auction and raffle are held during the evening as well. This has been a very popular event with our members and their wives.

McCarley Cup

The McCarly cup is annual competition between Antelope Hills Men’s Golf Club and the Mile High Men’s Club. It is named for our long-time head professional Mac McCarley who is a member of the Arizona Golf Hall of Fame. The one-day event features a number of two (2) man teams from each club. There are three (3) different formats that are contested over six (6) holes each. The formats are “Two Man Best Ball”, “Alternate Shot” and “Individual Match Play”. The club amassing the most point is awarded the McCarley Cup and is allowed to display it in their area of the Antelope Hills club house. .
